Great contest! One of my resolutions is to find a better balance between being a wife, mom, and myself

Ooh fun! My new years resolution was to send a letter of apology to my sister's ex-boyfriend for holding a grudge against him. He did some truly horrible things to my family, but I'm really trying to forgive and forget (which is the real resolution). Now, I ABSOLUTELY have to send the email, because I spoke to him for the first time in 18 months at about 1205AM January 1 and to say I was rude and uncouth is being polite. Ugh. This is why I need to forgive and forget and apparently apologize and beg for forgiveness. :)

i have a 2 year old and a 6 month old. sleep is precious. but i have made it a priority to get up earlier than them, get in the shower and have just 5 minutes of "me time" before the day really begins :)

to read my Bible every day. and to have a baby. . .

What a neat print! I have two resolutions - most importantly, to journal at least 4 times a week and take time to listen and record what the Lord speaks to me. That is tough as a mom of two year old twin girls! Not so much the writing part as taking time to listen part. :) My other resolution is to make it to the gym at least once a week. I am all about achievable goals this year rather than aiming too high and feeling let down. :) My fingers are crossed - I just took down the fabric wall hangings in M & G's room to work on creating a cute, fun toddler/little girl decor!

Amy said...

My resolution this year is to remember birthdays and anniversaries. This is one thing I have yet to be able to do. I want to make everyones day special by sending a card instead of making a required phone call.

Great gift to start your giveaways! I was looking through his stuff after that original post, he does nice work. my new years "goal" as i call it so for no injuries in 2010!! Seems weird, but I spent all of 2009 hurt from both my tailbone and sciatica. Somehow I managed to move across country while dealing with these, so I'm hoping to have a better year :]

The one of the new years resolutions that I made is to lose weight. I know that all of us make this resolution, but I am doing it for different reasons...due to the fact that we are wanting to start a family and due to some other medical conditions I need to lose the weight to have a healthy pregnancy.

KellyV said...

I have a thing against "resolutions", but I do reevaluate my life and changes I need to make to improve it ... one that my husband and I are working on together is being more positive! So I suppose that's a resolution, I just call it otherwise so I'm more likely to stick to it :)

melissa said...

since i like to set 'goals' as opposed to 'resolutions'... my goals for this new year are to drink more water and get more sleep. it sounds easy enough, but i tend to let my schedule control me, instead of vice versa, so it might be more difficult for me than i think.

My resolution this year is to find other crappy and unpretentious moms to hang out with. moms that are not going to judge me for my baby not having taken to my breasts, or not using cloth diapers because it is too time consuming to do that and make meals and clean and look presentable, or my baby not having organic clothes. I just want to find friends that can admit how hard it is. I resume to not judge or compare myself to all my hippie darling friends but to find other "crappy" moms!
love, sandy

I do not make resolutions because after four days I forget all about them. However one thing I do want to accomplish is to try to safe a bit, not a great amount but around 1000 on my own just to know that I can do it while at the same time trying to pay off as much as possible on my credit cards.

My New Years resolution is to keep my house better organized. Before my twins arrived, every closet and drawer was in great shape, but the past 6 months have proved difficult to keep them in order!

Anne said...

Ooohh, I love that canvas!

One of my resolutions was to cut myself a little slack. I tend to obsess of things that, in the grand scheme of things, aren't really that important. Because of that, I feel as though I miss out on opportunities to further cherish the age my children are at. Childhood passes so quickly and I don't want to miss any of theirs for the sake of an extra load of laundry.

HO said...

To take just a little time for me. Even if it's coffee at 5am when I first get up and the entire house is still sleeping. Just a little refresh before the craziness of the day starts.

Heather Gavan said...

My resolution is not so much a resolution but the idea of living by a few words. The first: balance. To balance life with work, home with play, family with friends, chocolate with exercise - you see the trend. The second: patience. To be patient with work, home, friends, enemies, family, coworkers, vendors...

Making the resolution to focus on these words rather than on one or more goals is what will make 2010 better for me!

Jenny Lynn said...
