Miracle Sleeper

Every single night without fail, I do my nightly routine of prepping for bed and when I slip into my soft sheets and lay my head on my plush pillow, I immediately reach for my Brookstone sleep mask and slide it across my lids.

A few minutes later, I am drifting off into Dream Land where I'm eating planet sized cookies and trees made of licorice. It's lovely, really.

I have told you before and have even done a giveaway of these a year or so ago, but I am absolutely IN LOVE with this sleep mask. I have owned plenty of sleep masks in my time and none of them suffice. After experiencing this little delight, no other mask will do.

It's incredibly soft.
It is the perfect fit.
And it will change your life.

Honestly!

You will never sleep the same again!

Sometimes, when I have a really bad headache, I'll slide it across my forehead and walk around the house with it. It feels SO good and gives the perfect amount of pressure.

So, I am choosing one very special commenter to give their very own Brookstone sleep mask. You will even get to choose which color you want! :)

All you have to do is leave me a comment!
If you post on your own blog, Facebook or Twitter about the giveaway, you can enter again.

Answer this: Do you remember your dreams?

(Every single morning, I can vividly recount every single dream I had the night before. Husby, however, says he never dreams...and if he does, he has no recollection of it. This blows me AWAY!!!)

So what about you.... do you dream?

Winner announced Monday morning (I'll be away from my blog for the rest of the week). Thanks for playing!

I remember some of my dreams so vividly. Sometimes, when I start re-accounting a memory, I question myself as to whether I dreamed it or if it in fact actually happened.

When I was deployed I used a sleeping mask every night! I has such a hard time sleeping over there and it seemed to help. Since coming back, I fell out of the habit, but always think that I need to get another one. This would be perfect!

I remember parts of my dreams. If I wake up in the middle of one, I usually remember less! I had a really weird recurring scary dream all through childhood. Maybe I need this mask!

I usually remember the dreams that I have just prior to waking. And sometimes, while I won't remember specifics of the dream, I'll remember the feelings associated with them. (And I even waking up sobbing for no reason when dreams are really sad!)

Yes, I remember a lot of my dreams! My husband also says that he doesn't have dreams - but he definitely does, he just doesn't remember. Everyone dreams when they are asleep I believe, and plus, he talks in his sleep sometimes, so he must!

I sometimes remember my dreams. This is a great giveaway, I've been looking for a good sleep mask!!!

Rebekah said...

Oops...sorry about the earlier deleted comment. I don't know what happened but it had strange spaces and symbols all over.
Anyway, I probably don't remember all of my dreams but it sure seems as if I remember a lot of them! The weird thing is that I have reoccuring dreams. Ever since I was growing up I have had a few dreams at least a handful of times each year. I also have themes and events that repeat themselves over and over again. I have even been able to identify what underlying stresses or feelings are lurking beyond the surface just by the thematic dreams that I had that week. So strange! Maybe having a Brookstone sleep mask will allow me to sleep in both luxury and peace! :)

I definitely remember a lot of my dreams! I quite often wake up and summarize 3-4 dreams I had to my husband; he doesn't understand how I can remember them all. My dreams tend to be so vivid and bizarre that they're hard to forget!

I do sometimes! =) I would love this!

I sometimes remember my dreams, but I am usually so tired at night that I don't think I dream all that much. I think this eye pillow would be perfect for me. I have small children who don't want me to close my door at night. On top of that they want the hall light on at night so there is always light coming into my room. It would make sleeping so much easier if it was completely dark when I was going night night. Thanks for the GREAT give away !!!

I only remember my dreams if I wake up during them.

Christi said...

Oh my word, I need one of these. I think in the last 6 months I've slept well maybe less than 5 times. I rarely have dreams because of the lack of sleep...but last week I did.
My dreams are always interesting and life-like.
I'm glad that you are getting good sleep now.

I almost always remember my dreams, or at least remnants of them. The worst is when I wake up from a bad dream, get up to get water or something, and then the bad dream continues when I get back in bed! The WORST! According to you the sleep mask creates pleasant dreams only, so it would probably eliminate this problem I have.

I had a dream this morning about shopping for a Christmas present for my husband. It was a yellow camping backpack with tan plaid on the inside. Also, it snowed and we owned an aqua car! So yes, I remember my dreams, and usually as vividly as this.

I never enter giveaways, but I think this one seems good!

Fun! I do remember my dreams. Sometimes so vividly that they stick with me all day! I hate that feeling. Most of the time I dream of random things that make no sense at all :-)

KellyC said...

It depends on how tired I am! If I am well rested, I remember them all in vivid detail.

Up until about a year ago I always remembered my dreams. I think my sleep cycle has gotten messed up since our wedding. Except for last night... I had a dream that instead of getting a new puppy we got a bunny... it was kinda bizarre.

I usually remember most of my dreams when I wake up, but often forget them shortly after. And my husband is the same way as yours... he swears he never dreams. I just chalk that up to his already horrible and selective memory! haha.

Sometimes I remember my dreams. I have actually had a few dreams that ended up happening ( no i am NOT a future teller lol) but it was scary when it happened. I would LOve that sleep mask. I know EXACTLY what you mean about putting it on your forehead for pressure for a headache..sounds perfect!

GreigFamily said...

It depends on the night, sometimes I do and sometimes don't. Usually the nights with lots of dreams are the nights that I can't remember what I dreamed. Just one or two dreams though, I usually remember them. For some reason, whenever I eat Chinese food(with or without MSG), I get horrible nightmares, like my whole family dying, etc.

Sarah H. said...

I remember dreams some days, and othe days I don't remember anything. Most of dreams are always about people and relationships and are actions...I am never in my dreams alone. Also the places in my dreams are almost always made up or a collection of many places I've been---but I never actually go to my real house in my dreams.

E. said...

Often I'll wake up in the middle of the night - and then I can remember my dreams. But I'm never able to fully recount them in the morning! That's the worst, especially when it's a really nice one that I want to dive right back into.

Katy said...

I almost always remember, and they are some of the most bizarre dreams that ever existed. I also act them out (unfortunately). Once, I dreamed my husband left the dream baby (we don't have one) at a store, and I was so mad I punched him...and I really did in my sleep! Oops.

Christie said...

I only sometimes remember my dreams, usually only the bad ones! I use a sleep mask already but not one as fabulous as this one!

Katie said...

I have insanely vivid dreams. I also have very emotional dreams where I'll wake myself up crying or laughing. I really should keep a dream journal because they're so crazy. Surprisingly though, I didn't have many dreams while I was pregnant.

I have a 4 year old and a 1 year old and I feel like I very rarely get great sleep, but I have just started dreaming again. I usually remember one dream a week or so.

I am 50/50. Sometimes I can remember what I dreamed about, other times I can't. Usually if it is a vivid dream I can remember it...other times I can remember bits and pieces...other times nothing at all :)

I've never used a mask. And, usually I remember my dreams. Last night, no. Usually, yes.

I usually remember my dreams and most of the time they are like deja vu. I am now 31 weeks pregnant and I have the wierdest dreams I have ever had. I didn't even have this many crazy dreams with my first child. Anyway, I can't say that I remember them everytime though. And I have never used a mask. I bet they are really relaxing. I have seen the ones that are infused with lavender and they smelled wonderful.

Sleep masks may be one of the best inventions ever. I have never tried the brookstone one.

I never remember my dreams in the morning, but I recently started a new medication and remember most of them now. It is the weirdest thing.

Maureen said...

i remember my dreams sometimes and when i do, they're usually really weird. I think dreams can also have outside influences, possibly from lost spirits just passing through. One night when i was camping i had a very long strange dream. the next morning a girl i was camping with asked me if i had any strange dreams the night before, because she had had one too. I'm pretty sure something was influencing both our dreams that night.

milly said...

yes! I do dream, but sometimes it is hard for me to remember what..

Ashley said...

It depends on how dramatic they are... last night I had a really disturbing/upsetting dream and I can remember it all in vivid detail. When they're low-key, mundane things, I usually remember then for the first 15 minutes I'm up.

Oh, I also blogged about the giveaway on my blog!

Jessica said...

That looks so nice and comfy!
I remember my dreams every once in awhile, but even then it is like a very dim memory. I can never remember very many details!

Viv said...

I'd love to have one!

Well, I remember my dreams very vividly but only if I think about them immediately after waking up. If I wake up and hop directly out of bed, then all is lost!

But, I have very detailed dreams every.single.night. I actually look forward to going to sleep to see what awaits me. I'm lame, I know.

Last week I had a dream about a huge black pittbull that was trying to bite me. I woke up so scared. I open the door and there is the neighbors huge white pittbull staring me as I open the door, wagging his tail and hoping I'll come out to play. Sorry puppy, but no way! Dreams are crazy at times. I have the Brookstone travel blanket so I'm sure the mask is just as heavenly.

Sometimes I remember my dreams. Last night I had the strangest dream that my husband was bribed and became part of a lego video game (as in, he was an character in the game on the screen). I'm pregnant so it doesn't have to make sense right?? Isn't it funny though how a dream is so real and then you wake up and wonder what all the fuss was about. Maybe a mask would help my crazy, not good sleep these days :)

I've never used a sleep mask, but you make it sound fabulous. AND, my hubs is a cop and works night/sleeps days, so maybe this will help him sleep! I'd love to win it!

I usually remember vague "dream snatches" but they fade away after I've been up for a while. The only dreams I usually remember are disturbing or scary, so I'd rather not. Instead, I'd love to get some restful sleep in your fab giveaway mask!

Mrs. Maxson said...

It all depends on the dream! If it's scary or extremely weird or really wonderful, I remember most details. Not usually of it, but the highlights. If it was something not too exciting, I usually remember it. It's so strange how that happens. However, if I don't tell my dream right when I wake up, I won't remember it!

Jess said...

Love the mask! I dream every once and a while and sometimes I remember and sometimes I don't -it's pretty random.

Whitney, your blog blows me away. You make me laugh almost everyday and your weebie is such a joy. Thank you for writing.

I seldom have dreams that I remember, but occasionally I do. Usually, my dreams are about hopes that I have. One imparticular I can remember was a few years ago: There was a little girl bouncing on my husby's knee and he was saying "who's daddy's girl? Emma is!" Well my husby woke up (that same day)having a dream about a blond curly headed little girl saying Dada. We have prayed for a little girl, but that has been a long time ago (our weebie is 21 now). I don't know if it is a hope deferred or what- only the Lord knows. She was cute though- ;0)

This was fun to think about hope you have reading them...

What a great giveaway!! Sometimes I remember my dreams. There are some days that I wake up and can vividly remember my dreams. I rarely remember my dreams when my husband is home, however it seems like when he is deployed or away I always remember my dreams because they are usually not so lovely. I'd love to try out a sleep mask, and it might make my husband happier since it would mean he wouldn't have to block out every little light that I see in the room that seems to annoy me to a point where I simply can't sleep because it's not dark enough!

Lisa said...

I can usually remember my dreams. My dreams are often very realistic - to the point where sometimes I can't remember if I did something in real life or if it was just a dream! I started using a sleep mask a few months ago - mine is from Bed Bath and Beyond, and it's okay. My husband stays up later than I do so it blocks out the light while he's reading or watching TV. But it irritates me after a while so by the time he goes to bed I usually have to take it off. I would love to try a new one - yours sounds amazing!
